Well, I never meant to be coy by withholding pictures of the mountain home. If you read yesterday’s blog, you will understand that we have been fighting a series of “fires” (or should I say “leaks”?), and there hasn’t been time for blogging. Hopefully, that is all in the rearview mirror, and we are cruising toward a normal life “up here on the ridge”!
Below is a picture of the house. It is hard to take a good shot, since the
front of the house faces west, so I am always facing the sun during the day when
I try to get a frontal pic.
This is a shot of the huge pine that fell from what the locals call the “finger of God” that danced over our property and caused such havoc.
This is a shot of the outhouse….NAW, but it looks like one,
doesn’t it? It is actually a potting shed that is about to roll off the side of the mountain. :>| Next to it is the infamous well. In his spare time, Greg is going to knock the top off of it; he thinks it looks too much like a well! Well?
This is another shot of the side of the house, looking down at the driveway (AKA “the slide”) … which disappears into nowhere because it is so steep!
On June 15th, we start to work on the inside of
the house. You won’t believe some of the shots!
